At Upton Primary School, we believe that music is a universal language that embodies one of the highest forms of creativity. The intention of our music scheme is to develop and inspire the children’s love of music, their talent as musicians and encourage our children in their musical journey. 

Our curriculum introduces children to music from around the world and across generations, teaching children to respect and appreciate the music of all traditions and communities; allowing them to listen to the best in the musical canon.

By introducing them to a variety of musical experiences and igniting a passion for music, we seek to nurture a lifelong love of music.
