Computing
We live in an ever-changing and technological world. At Upton, it is our aim to equip children with the relevant skills and knowledge to thrive in a technological world. We strive to develop resilient, creative and independent learners through a scheme of work that provides progression and breadth of knowledge across all year groups.
From the National Curriculum we have identified three core areas of computing that we develop through inspiring children to acquire skills and knowledge that is built upon through each year group:
- Coding (computer science)
- Digital Literacy
- E-safety
We aim to make Computing an integral part to a child’s education and everyday life. To develop critical, computational thinking and creativity to understand and solve real-world problems.
